The Feminist Love Studies Network

EN/SP

The Feminist Love Studies Network is an international network of researchers founded at Örebro University, Örebro, Sweden, in March 2013. It aims at developing the interdisciplinary and multi-theoretical field of Feminist Love Studies.

This network grew out of a research program run at Örebro University through 2010, called Love in Our Time. A Question for Feminism, which focused on the growing academic interest in research on love and called for more and stronger feminist voices in this broad field. Through critical as well as constructive engagement, The Feminist Love Studies Network overlaps with the more general field of ‘love studies’, but the focus on feminist love studies foregrounds the importance of historical feminist work in this field as well as the contributions to contemporary thinking of love from a variety of feminist perspectives. The network is connected with the GEXcel International Collegium for Advanced Transdisciplinary Gender Studies.
